ALOHA in Atlanta

Thanks to our babysitters (also known as my mom and dad), Jack and I were able to get away to the big city of Atlanta over the weekend. WOW! We had so much fun. We spent the night at the Ritz Carlton-Buckhead. GORGEOUS! It was so great to just be Jack and LeAnne...not Mommy and Daddy for a little while.

Our hotel was conveniently located across the street from Lenox Square Mall...SCORE! Then, we had dinner at an amazing place. Roy's....FABULOUS food! Hawaiian fusion cuisine=very fresh seafood...SCORE, AGAIN!!

There's a great story that goes with dinner. When I called to make our reservations, the girl asked if we were gonna be celebrating an type of special occasion. I told her no but I mentioned our reason for being in the city (Jack's leaving for Saudi). We had drinks, an appetizer, our entrees and placed the order for our dessert. The dessert was served by the manager and written in chocolate sauce on the plate were the words "thank you". He was so kind and had some very sweet and sincere words for Jack. He then told us that they were picking up our entire check. OUR...ENTIRE....CHECK....which was well over $100 at this point. Jack was so humbled and I, of course, was reduced to tears. What an amazing gesture!!

  7. First of all, adorable pic!! I love this!! Isn't Roy's awesome?! If it is a chain, I've eaten at the one in Austin (where my sister lives). I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. And, this makes me love it even more. I don't care who you are, this will bring a tear to your eye! Now that I know there is a Roy's in Atl, we may have to go sometime. :) Hopefully, this year will fly by (doesn't it always with kids?!). Enjoy the super warm weather before you head north! :)
