Sweat, Tears, Chocolate, and Dancing...What a Weekend

In September I ran in my very first 5K.  It was so much fun...so much fun that i haven't run in 4 months now.  THAT isn't because I don't WANT as much as I haven't gotten very good at making time for MYSELF.  I intend to get back out there soon...I'll keep you posted.

So, back to the 5K.  It was actually a truly lovely weekend.  It was such a gorgeous September weekend.  It was hot as blue blazes, tho, and WOW was that run tough in that humidity.

My bestest friends, Carmen and Christie, ran with me.  We all traveled down to Pensacola and turned it into a much needed ladies weekend.   A little running, some relaxing time on the beach, a little shopping, dinner at The Melting Pot, and a night out at Seville Quarter in downtown P'cola...cuz that's how we roll!

  2. Gotta love time with the girls!! Congrats on your 5K, that is awesome! They do one at our church every year, haven't done it yet and can't this year because of my knee. Guess I'll just volunteer to help again. It's fun to be a cheerleader too!!
