St. Augustine's Old Jail

We took a tour of the old town jail. Very interesting and the old original gallows where they had town hangings are still standing out back. We learned that prisoners today might as well be at Club Med compared to those living conditions and how they were treated in the 1800's. Horse thieves and murderers were the inhabitants of death row, waiting to hang.
