This morning Kylee Anne declared that she would have a picnic (which is a common occurrence in our living room). She drug the blanket off the couch that had been used earlier for snuggling and watching Curious George on PBS. She spreads the blanket on the floor and then begans to bring all of her cooking and kitchen toys into the living room for her picnic. Moments later I realized that there was quiet in our house and of course, I was curious. No sooner than this curiosity entered into my thoughts, I hear the kitten squeal and the pitter patter of little feet. Down the hall and around the corner into the kitchen comes a cat and two pursuers in full sprint. Each of them sliding on the tile floor as they round the corner. The children chase the kitty around the island in the kitchen and out into the living room. Dixie manages to escape by hiding behind the couch.
"What are you doing? LEAVE THAT CAT ALONE! You guys both know that we DO NOT chase Dixie!!!!"
"But MOM, we're gonna feed her at our picnic!"
"CATS DO NOT LIKE PICNICS!"
