So, we're counting down the hours. The hours until our stuff is loaded in the big ole' moving truck and headed for sweet home Alabama. We'll be loading tomorrow, spending the night in a hotel, and rolling out Saturday morning. Things are a little hectic (that may be an understatement but you get the point)! Say a little prayer for Ryan...he has strep throat. We'll update next week once we're settled in our temporary housing on the base.
I'm also working on some projects for the kids to help them with the transition of daddy being away for so long. If any of you other military mamas (or just mamas in general) have any ideas, I'd love to hear from you.

I'll be thinking about you this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThinking about you guys!!!
ReplyDeleteWill you be living on base there while he's gone to Saudi and then when he comes back PCS to Alaska? Hope everything goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a Daddy Doll and that seems to help her deal w/the separation. http://www.hugahero.com and I also came across another site where you can send them photos and they'll make a quilt for your child; need to find where I saved that link if you're interested in that.
