Don't you LUV holiday weekends.

Just a quick post to say that I *heart* holiday weekends. Jack has a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day and it is always so nice to have some extra "daddy" time. So far, I managed a hot, relaxing bath Thursday night and was able to read TWO WHOLE CHAPTERS in my book in complete peace and quiet. Jack took over for a while. Friday, we spent most of the day running errands, buying groceries, etc... and we went to dinner last night (again relaxing for mama...no cooking, no dishes, yay). Today has been super relaxing so far. Jack got up with the kids and I stayed in bed until 10:00 am. That's right, 10:00 am! Well, I was really only sleeping off and on because my little ones would frequently pop into the bedroom for one reason or another. But still....it was great. We went out to the pool for a while and the kids played in the sprinkler, too. Tonight, cooking on the grill and again...no cooking for mama, hoorah!! Tomorrow morning they are having a special Memorial Day service at church to honor the military. That is always special to us military families.
