Wake Up, Mommy

It is kind of a morning ritual in our house that at least one of my little ones will be up and climb into our bed before the sun rises (for the past couple of weeks I've had a reprieve because Granny has been here running interference with the early risers). Granny had an early flight this morning and when Kylee Anne was awake at 5:45 a.m. she made her way into my bed. Well, of course, this made mommy groan and wish for just a little longer before starting our day. So, she climbed into bed and snuggled with me. She wrapped her arms around my neck and very sweetly patted my face. We were nose to nose. There was a sweet little kiss on my nose and she said, "Mommy, are we best friends?". This time there was NO groan but a brand new wish for JUST A LITTLE LONGER!!!!

Sometimes don't you wish life had a PAUSE button so that these moments with our little ones would last forever.
