Learning from nature

Have you guys seen The Bee Movie? Well, Ryan loves it and he has learned SOOOOO much about bees and pollination from that movie. So, this evening we spotted a "pollen jock" going from flower to flower in one of our tomato plants and the kids were super excited to see this. We watched for the longest time....Ryan was looking for the bee's "nectar collector" and explaining to me how the bees work hard in their hives to make the honey.
This is a picture of the "pollen jock" in the flower. Below is a picture of some of our bell peppers growing in our make shift "back patio flower pot garden". While granny was here she helped us get it started and the kids have really been into growing tomatoes and peppers. Ryan will eat tomatoes if he can pick them off the vine himself.
