Things that drove me crazy today...

...just in case ya'll care.

1. Tuesday is garbage day in our neighborhood...yay!! However, why is it that the very large and obnoxiously loud truck MUST come and gather the trash right in the middle of the NAP TIME. As a frame of reference, Ryan's room is on the front of the house so that this loud, seemingly never ending noise is about 25 feet from his window...UGH!!

2. MUST the ice cream truck come through our neighborhood with the "ice cream music" blaring AFTER my kids are in bed for the night. That's right...8:45 pm. Who buys ice cream off the ice cream truck at that time? Of course, the kids KNOW that sound...guess what happened.

3. I love our cat...her name is Dixie. Dixie is 7 months old and is really "finding herself", so to speak. Okay, she LOVES the kids paintbrushes....and today she found out where we keep them. She loves to carry them in her mouth and bat them around with her paws. Well, she also figured out how to get onto the shelf and pull open the little drawer to get to them. Watercolor paint everywhere..........at least it was watercolors, right?

CALGON!!!

Can you tell that momma hasn't been getting a whole lot of rest lately? Last night seemed promising...maybe a full night of sleep and the kids staying in bed past 5:30 am. The raging thunderstorms that jolted the kids from bed had other ideas. Maybe tonight...I'm off to check the weather....
