Well, this is THE post...Jack finally got orders. He is heading to Saudi Arabia for a year...alone(of course). We're not EXCITED by any means but it is nice to finally know something. The kids and I will be going to Excel for the year that he is gone so that we can be near family (and I won't be completely on my own with two small ones). We have a ton of details to work out where that is concerned...a place to live, school for the kids, military insurance and doctors in the area...you get the point. I am thankful that it works out so perfectly with the kids' school schedule (May-May)...that will help I think.
All of that being said, there is a possible catch in this scenario. Jack could possibly make his next stripe (Sr. Master Sgt.) and he will know if that happens in March. Well, if he does get the promotion there is a possibility they could cancel these orders and send him or us somewhere completely different. They won't definitely do that...just possibly. UGH!!! We're keeping the mindset that he is headed for Saudi in May and we'll cross any other bridge as we come to it.
