A day spent in awe of a quiet volcano

We had an absolutely GORGEOUS day on our last day in Washington...not a cloud in the sky...at all!! We were finally able to get some great views of Mt. St. Helen's (it is VERY close to Granny and Grandpa's house but it had been too cloudy a lot of our time there). Ryan became fascinated with all things volcano...he spent the day wishing we would see it explode. The rest of us...not so much!! He LOVES that his Grandpa has very vivid stories of the day that the mountain blew and his Granny and Daddy remember watching from afar as the eruption took place. Twenty eight years later and the mountain stands there quietly looking very majestic and beautiful. Enjoy the pictures.

This is a waterfall at Lava Canyon.

Ryan in awe of the BIG volcano...wishing it would "do something"!

This is a BIG tree!
