A day in the woods....Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival
Last weekend Nana and Pop came for a visit and to bring our Dixie (cat) home. They also brought Kameron with them...the kids were beyond thrilled to have Kameron visit. On Saturday we took the kids over to the Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival. It is basically an arts & crafts show set in the woods...it's on some property that has some old buildings left standing from many decades ago. There are quite a few exhibits that feature things like quilting, spinning, soap making, etc...you get the point. Stuff from a long time ago mixed with a lot of really cute arts & crafts vendors. The kids really enjoyed the petting zoo and the guy making balloon animals (or balloon flowers and a balloon sword) We also stopped at the Pumpkin Patch at the kids' school to buy our pumpkin.
I am a mommy blogger tryin' to keep our friends and family updated on our lives as an Air Force family. I am so blessed with a wonderful family! My kiddos are growing up much too quickly...Ryan is almost 6 and Kylee Anne is 4. My amazing husband, Jack, is serving overseas. He is doing an unaccompanied assignment in Saudi Arabia for a year. The kids and I are back home in Alabama for this year that he is away. When he returns in 2010, we'll all be headed to Alaska.
