Ryan had a birthday...you already knew that, huh?? Well, did you know that he had a super fabulous birthday party at one of his most favorite locations on earth?? The Museum of Aviation!! They have a wonderful package birthday deal that we could not pass up for this milestone birthday. It was the greatest experience and definitely was a day to make many lasting memories.

This is Ryan with his birthday sign in the main entrance area...he thought he was a celebrity. Behind him you will see his most favorite fighter jet...F-15 Eagle! Like father, like son...i guess.
One of the great things about this party deal is the fact that the museum staff handles everything. The first stop was a very interactive trip upstairs and into a C-130 cargo airplane. The kids all put on their flight suits (they were adult sized flight suits, so they were GIGANTIC on them) and got ready to learn some cool facts about C-130s.

All the kiddos aboard the C-130

They also watched a video about the cool things that a C-130 can be used for and they learned quite a bit about the brave men and women that parachute out of perfectly good airplane for the sake of freedom. The hostess used Ryan as an example of a jumper and had
Kylee Anne be the jump master.

Kylee Anne wouldn't talk in front of all those people, so Luke got to be the jump master.
After the C-130 activity, the kids got to put together wooden airplane gliders. Typically, they would have gone outside to play and fly them but the weather was terrible. They had plenty of fun doing this inside in the amphitheater.

Finally, it was into the cafe' for lunch, cake and presents. Now, it's
gettin' good, huh??

OH, WOW!!! Ryan had the best time!! This was the greatest birthday venue and I'm a little sad that we are moving away from this fabulous resource, the museum. They even provide the cake and ice cream...it wasn't the cake of Ryan's dreams but it sure was yummy. Don't worry...it wasn't his only cake. His party was the week before his actual birthday and Jack had to be in Florida for some training. So, of course, we celebrated again on his birthday with his daddy!
