That's what I fear, my dear!!!

This morning Kylee Anne had a doctor's appointment on the base for a preschool screening. No biggie, right?? Right!! Except that we had to leave at 6:45...A.M....before the sunrise...in the darkness. The kids LOVE leaving our house before the the sun has risen. Me, NOT SO MUCH!

It was just a regular check-up. Nothing exciting. Then we had to spend some time in the pharmacy waiting on some refills. Now, you military families know my pain where the military pharmacy is concerned and what a pain in the hiney the pharmacy can be with less than "willing to wait" children. Next, we were off to the other side of the hospital to pick up my medical records for transport to Alabama when we move. Finally, one more stop. We stopped at the Pediatrics desk to fill out the paperwork for the kids' medical records to be copied and released to me for the move.

What?? You don't have the form?? You'll have to go and find one?? Okay, we wait...and wait...and wait. Thank goodness, the form was finally located and filled out the best of my ability...LET'S ROLL!!!

This exasperated mom and my two little "sweeties" found the nearest exit. We left through the foyer. The foyer is a enclosed entryway with 3 story high ceilings. Lots of full length windows surrounding us. GREAT ACCOUSTICS...ask the kiddos. They love that foyer because their precious little voices echo...echo....echo....echo. So, they were practicing their bird calls, their yodeling, their dying cat calls, the wrong words to their favorite rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer...you get the point. NOISE! LOTS OF NOISE!!

With all the sweetness I could muster, I requested that my little cuties refrain from any more echoes. I said, "Okay, that's enough".

Ryan ceased the noise. Kylee Anne did not.

"Kylee Anne, did you hear my words? I said...THAT...IS...ENOUGH!"

Without missing a beat, Kylee Anne stopped. She looked me dead in the eyes. She smirked and her little eyes gleamed. And she said....

"OH, Mommy! It's NEVER enough!!!"

Oh geez, that is exactly what I am afraid of.....
