The week we found out that Jack had made his next rank, we attended a promotion party on the base for all those promoting to SMSgt. It was just a small informal gathering on a Friday afternoon. The kids were so thrilled to be able to watch their daddy get his stripes but their absolute favorite part was the open bar (with juice flowing freely) and all the beautiful fresh fruit. Ryan could've eaten his weight in strawberries...they were SUPER YUMMY!!
