Grumpy Ladybug

Ryan is absolutely in love with his new class and his new teacher this year. His most favorite thing (currently) is that his teacher reads them The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. I love that he loves this because I have always enjoyed all things Eric Carle.

He has been talking about this book all day. I put him in bed over an hour ago and he has called me into his room at least 5 times to share quotes from the book...he calls it the grumpy ladybug book. Don't you love the things that come out of the mind of a 4-year-old...he wants to go to the special grumpy ladybug library where they must surely have hundreds of grumpy ladybugs books. Better yet, maybe I could call this very special library to tell them if they have any ladybug books that we can come and pick up tomorrow. About 2 minutes ago he appeared to find out what the library said when I called them. I imagine that he is in his bed, as I type, contemplating just how he can get his hands on a copy of that book. Looks like I need to find this book for him. For those of you that aren't familiar...it is a book that teaches math skills (i.e. telling time).
