United Wears Purple

This morning we went to the opening ceremony of the soccer league on the base. The kids got all dressed in their new soccer threads and took part in the team parade onto the soccer field. Their team name is United and you can't miss that purple if you tried. They didn't actually get to play so they were really disappointed...they don't really get started until Thursday. After the ceremony was over we took them over to a soccer practice field near our house so they could get a little soccer action anyway.

okay, this picture is as they were introduced and came onto the field...Kylee Anne was hilarious she looked like she was on a homecoming queen float...wave and smile...wave and smile...wave and smile :)

As a side note....there were more mommy tears today. Mostly because it was the sweetest thing you have ever seen when all of those little ones stood with those little hands over those little hearts during the colors presentation and the National Anthem. It was very touching...patriotism in it's purest form!!!
